To document the exhibition, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam will release a comprehensive and richly illustrated catalogue. Seth Siegelaub: Beyond Conceptual Art, published by Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther König in Cologne and designed by Irma Boom, will gather a series of specially commissioned essays by art historians, curators, and artists, including Sara Martinetti (independent curator, PhD candidate at École des hautes études en sciences sociales and researcher at Institut national d’histoire de l’art in Paris), Julia Bryan-Wilson (Associate Professor Modern and Contemporary Art, University of California, Berkeley), Jo Melvin (Reader in Archives and Special Collections, Chelsea, University of the Arts, London), Leontine Coelewij (Curator, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam), and Götz Langkau (researcher, International Institute of Social History). It will furthermore include a transcription of a conversation between Matilda McQuaid (Deputy Curatorial Director, Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, New York), Alan Kennedy (specialist in historic Asian costume and textiles), and Marja Bloem (Director of the Stichting Egress Foundation, former Curator at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, and Siegelaub’s longstanding partner) as well as an unpublished conversation between Siegelaub and the artist Robert Horvitz.
